Jean-Blaise Brubach
SOLEIL Synchrotron
Jean-Blaise Brubach (Beamline Scientist, Synchrotron Soleil, Saint-Aubin) prepared his thesis on the dynamics of water molecules in bulk and in confined systems (2002, Université de Paris-Sud). After a 3-year post-doc at the Université de Pharmacologie de Chantenay-Malabry, he joined SOLEIL in 2005. He participated in the installation and development of the AILES beamline dedicated to infrared spectroscopy, particularly in the FIR-THz range. He has studied the physico-chemical properties of porous systems and the optical properties of condensed matter. Since 2020, his main responsibility at SOLEIL's AILES beamline has been research into chemistry for energy. In particular, he has developed specific cells for in situ electrochemistry, electrocatalysis experiments and is also involved in experiments dedicated to heterogeneous catalysis and catalysis-related surface science.
